Here are a few "hot" pickups in fantasy football for Week 3
Monday 09-19-2011 10:41am ET

Here are a few "hot" pickups in fantasy football for Week #3...............

1- Eric Decker, Denver wide reciever--   Injuries to Brandon Lloyd last week and Eddie Royal this week have given Decker a chance and he took fulll advantage of it vs. Cincinnati.  He grabbed 5 passes for 113 yards and a couple of scores. Decker is a second-year player with good size and plenty of speed. He will continue to be a big part of the Denver passing game from here foward. The Broncos travel to Tennessee next week........

2--- Denarius Moore, wide reciever, Oakland--    With the Oakland recieving corps decimated by injuries, Moore got his chance against Buffalo and delivered big.  With strong-armed quarterback Jason Campbell on the throwing end, Moore hauled in 5 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown.  He will be targeted again heavily next week vs. the Jets at home............

3-  Thomas Jones, RB , Kansas City-  With Jamaal Charles out for the year with a knee injury, Jones will be first in line for lots of carries. His only downside is being replaced on passing downs by the versatile Dexter Mccluster. Keep an eye on this situation. The Chiefs are going nowhere and may choose to see just what they have in McCluster, a second-year player. ............

4-  Daniel Thomas, RB, Miami-  In a loss to Houston, Thomas got his chance and looked good. He ran 18 times for 107 yards. The Dolphins are now 0-2 and looking for a spark.  They take on the Browns in Cleveland this Sunday................

Here are 5 solid fantasy plays for Week 1
Thursday 09-08-2011 3:41pm ET

Here are 5 solid fantasy plays for Week 1............

1-.Buffalo RB Fred Jackson at KC-  Jackson owners should have no fear about backup C.J.Spiller stealing carries. Jackson is a much more punishing runner both inside and ouside. What sets Jackson apart are his solid recieving skills. Buffalo coach Chan Gailey is an aggressive play-caller and loves the ball in Jackson's hands...........

2- Jets WR Santonio Holmes home vs. Dallas-  The Jet offense is not as conservative as you might think. With QB Mark Samchez on the rise as a passer, look for Holmes to be targeted often against an average Dallas defense. The Cowboys gave up a lot of big plays last season and will allow a lot again this season. The Jets don't use the tight end a lot in the passing game. Holmes will have a great first week and many more like it.........

3- Jermaine Gresham, TE Cincinnati, at Cleveland......... A rookie quarterback's best friend is the tight end. Bengal rookie signal-caller Andy Dalton has a big, fast, and highly-athletic target in Gresham. His size and tremendous speed will be a tough matchup for the Cleveland linebackers. Fantasy football is all about opportunities and Greasham will get plenty this week..........

4- Danny Amendola, Ram  WR, home vs. Phillly-  Amendola is the top target of rising stud QB Sam Bradford. Amendola is not the speediest guy in the league, but he gets open underneath and is targeted often. He is especially valuable in points-per-reception leagues. Amendola is regarded as the favorite taeget of Bradford, which goes a long way in every fantasy format...............

5- Tony Romo, Dallas QB at the Jets-  The Cowboys may have a hard time running against the Jets, so watch out for Romo and his collection of targets. With Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, and Jason Witten to throw to, Romo has a great cast around him. Coach Jason Garrett is not afraid to turn the offense loose, which is music to the ears of all Romo owners............

Here are the "Fantasy Studs" for Week 17
Monday 01-03-2011 10:21am ET

Here are the "Fantasy Studs" for Week 17...........

Jerome Simpson, WR Cincinnati-  All this guy needed was a chance. With the Cincy recieving group hit by injuries, he has come up big. Simpson caught 12  passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in a 13-7 loss to Baltimore. In the last 2 weeks of the season, he combined for 18 catches for 247 yards and 3 scores. Keep an eye on Simpson for 2011...........

Michael Bush, RB, Oakland-   With Darren McFadden out, Bush got his chance and made things happen. He rushed 25 times for 137 yards and a score as Oakland clobbered the Chiefs, 31-10. Bush last rushed for at least 100 yards in a game in Week # 5 vs. San Diego. Bush is a free agent and will be a fine every-down back for some lucky team......

Joe McKnight, RB, Jets-   McKnight got the start today with both LaDanian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene resting for the playoffs. He ran the ball 32 times for 158 yards and grabbed 2 passes for 15 yards in a 38-7 Jet win over the hapless Bills. McKnight had a grand total of 31 yards on the ground before this game. McKnight will continue to have limited fantasy value with both Tomlinson and Greene around..........

Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta-   Ryan completed a solid fantasy season in a big 31-10 win over Carolina. He completed 22 of 32 passes for 236 yards and 2 TD's as the Falcons qualified as the number 1 seed in the NFC. Ryan finishes the season with 3,469 yards and 26 touchdowns. With great receivers and a strong line, expect another solid season from Ryan in 2011...............

Mike Wallace, WR, Steelers- Wallace caught 3 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers captured the NFC North with a 41-9 thrashing of the sinking Browns. Walllace took it to the  next level with 10 touchdown grabs. He exceeded 100 yards in receptions in his last 3 games. With a full season of Ben Roethliberger next season, expect Wallace to keep getting better...........
Here is the "Fearless Forecast" for Week 17
Sunday 01-02-2011 9:42am ET

Here is the "Fearless Forecast" for Week 17.............

KC 35, Oakland 10-  The Chiefs and QB Matt Cassel head to the playoffs with a full head of steam.........

Detroit 27, Minnesota 23-  A blazing finish to the season for the improving Lions...........

Atlanta 27, Carolina 7- Despite an awful year, Carolina head coach John Fox will make some other team a fine head coach in 2011...............

Baltimore 21, Cincy 17-  An offseason of rebuilding will now begin for the hapless Bengals.........

Pittsburgh 20, Cleveland 16-  There a still some serious question marks about these Steelers as they head into the playoffs.........

New England 31, Miami 10-   The Patriots will score these 31 points by the end of the 3rd quarter.............

Saints 38, Bucs 21-  With a 9-win season under their belt, the Bucs have some great pieces to continue the improvements heading into 2011............

Jets 17, Bills 14-  The health of QB Mark Sanchez will dictate how far the Jets go in the playoffs......

Green Bay 28, Chicago 21-  No one wants to face the Packers and their explosive offense next week........

Houston 34, Jax 17-  Injuries and a weak defense lead to the Jag's colllapse to end the year........

Indy 41, Tennessee 20-  Peyton Mannning heads to the playoffs with a hot hand........

Phillly 38, Dallas 28-  The Eagles follow their pitiful performance againt Minnesota with a strong one vs. the Cowboys............

Giants 33, Washington 17-   A great team win for the Giants is still too late to make the playoffs...........

San Diego 45, Denver 24-  One last fabulous passing performance for the great Phillip Rivers.........

Arizona 31, SF 24-  The 5-11 49ers need a QB as bad as anyone in the NFL...............

Seattle 24, Rams 20-  The Seahawks officially become the worst team ever to qualify for the playoffs................
These are the Week 16 "Fantasy Studs"
Monday 12-27-2010 10:54am ET

These are the Week # 16 "Fantasy Studs"...........

Jay Cutler, QB, Chicago-  This looked like a tough fantasy matchup against the Jets in some bad weather, but Cutler made things happpen. He completed 13 of 25 passes for 215 yards and 3 touchdowns in a big 38-34 win over the Jets. Cutler also ran for a TD and was only picked off once. He has now thrown 6 touchdown passes in his last 2 games. The Bears travel to Greeen Bay next week.......

Jamaal Charles, RB, KC-  Charles ran 13 times for 77 yards and grabbed 2 scores through the air as the Chiefs whipped Tennessee, 34-14. Despite sharring carries with Thomas Jones, Charles has now exceeded 1,300 yards on the ground and has totaled 7 scores on the season. A home game with the Raiders is next........

Danny Woodhead, RB, Patriots-   Woodhead ran the ball 13 times for 93 yards and caught 3 passes for 32 yards as the Patriots clobbered  Buffalo, 34-3. He also accounted for his 5th rushing score of the year. Miami will try to slow down the Patriots next week in New England..........

Michael Crabtree, WR, San Francisco-Crabtree would make this list more often if he had a decent QB to get him the ball. He caught 6 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown in a 25-17 loss to the Rams. Crabtree has now grabbed 6 scores on the year and now has 2 games with over 100 yards in receptions. Arizona at home is next............

Miles Austin, WR, Dallas-  Austin caught  6 passes for 115 yards and a score in a tough 27-26 loss to Arizona. Austin has now eclipsed 100 yards in receptions in a game 5 times. This was the first one since Week #8. He has 7 TD grabs this season. A trip to Philly awaits next week.............
It is time for the "Fearless Forecast" for Week 16
Thursday 12-23-2010 5:14pm ET

It is time for the "Fearless Forecast" for Week 16.........

Pittsburgh 28, Carolina 7-  There will be a whole lot of Rashard Mendenhall against the inept Panthers...........

These are your "Fantasy Studs" for Week 15
Monday 12-20-2010 10:29am ET

These are your "Fantasy Studs" for Week 15........
Cedric Benson, RB, Cincy-  Benson has been a disappointment for much of this season, but finally came up big. He ran 31 times for 150 yards and a score as the Bengals beat Cleveland, 19-17. This was Benson's 3rd 100-yard rushing  game of the year. Maybe # 4 will come next week against San Diego..........

Rex Grossman, QB, Washington-   Yes, this one is really hard to believe. Grossman completed 25 of 43 for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns with 2 interceptions in a 33-30  loss to Dalllas. This was Grossman's first start since taking over for Donavan McNabb. Grossman has a great matchup next week in Jacksonville............

Eli Manning, QB, Giants-  The Giants lost a shocker to the Eagles, but Manning did his part for his fantasy owners. He completed 23 of 39 passes for 289 yards and 4 TD's in a tough 38-31 loss to the Eagles. Eli was intercepted once. Manning also threw four touchdown passes against Dallas in Week # 7 and now has 28 TD passes on the year. The Giants travel to Green Bay next week.........

LeGarrette Blount, RB, Tampa Bay-  Blount ran the ball 15 times for 110 yards and a TD as the Bucs lost to Detroit, 23-20. Not bad for a guy picked up off waivers just before the start of the season. Blount now has 6 touchdowns and 3 100-yard rushing games on the season. Seattle comes to town next week...........

Peyton Manning, QB, Indy-  Manning was on the money in a big win over the Jags. He completed 29 of 39 passses  for 229 yards and a couple of scores in a big 34-24 win. He threw no interceptions for the second week in a row and now has thrown for 4,028 yards and 28 scores. It is on to Oakland next week for the Colts.............
