As I'm sitting on my couch last night watching the garbage spew out of Lance Armstrong's mouth, I wonder to myself "Why do I care about this professional bike rider so much?"...Why are we all so glued to a story about a man who dominated a sport that is meaningless to most people in this country. Because we love winners. In any way, shape, and form. What makes this country beautiful is what can bring it to it's knees, we will make a hero out of anyone, as long as they're a winner. I think if we learned anything last night it could be that, just because you're winning, that doesn't make you a winner.
Lance Armstrong admitted last night what we all already knew. He's a loser, a cheater, and a liar. And if I'm speaking for myself, even in his revealing of the truth, I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He looks, smells, and feels like a weasel and there's is not a lot he can do or say at this point to UN-do that.
But this isn't about me, this is about you. This is about how you feel. So I ask the question, how do you think Lance Armstrong came off in his part 1 interview with Oprah Winfrey?
