LISTEN LIVE

It's always going to be a sensitive issue when you talk about a man who just took his own life. However, I think we can all agree that someone dropped the ball in this situation and if we don't want history to repeat itself, now is the time to have these discussions. Someone is to blame for Junior Seau's mental state nearing the end of his life, but who is it?

Scientists who analyzed the brain tissue of renowned NFL linebacker Junior Seau after his suicide last year have concluded the football player suffered a debilitating brain disease likely caused by two decades worth of hits to the head.

The specific diseases that he was inflicted with after his career was over is called chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE. Victims of CTE can experience impulsivity, depression, forgetfulness, and yes, suicidal thoughts.

The craziest part about all of this is that Junior Seau never "technically" recorded a concussion in his LONG, 20 season NFL career. Yeah, right. Again, someone dropped the ball. Whether it was the team doctors for not diagnosing him correctly, the NFL for not having a proper system in place, or Junior himself for not taking care of him self...someone is at fault.

It's frustrating to see someone take their life, to end a charmed life in such a dysfunctional way, and what makes it even worse is that it could have been prevented.

Someone is at fault...

Who is to blame?
