The dust has settled and the smoke has cleared. Bowl games are over, which was a better experience for some than others...
In retrospect who had the better year?
Before the bowl games most people might have leaned towards the Gators. Florida finished the year ranked 3rd overall, ran through a gauntlet of a schedule (only losing to Georgia in a close battle), they were legitimate title contenders, and demolished their rival state team to boot.
And then they wet the bed vs Louisville in the Sugar Bowl.
Florida State came in to the year with extremely high expectations. Title aspirations to be exact. Losing to NC State early on cost them that opportunity, but the Noles went on to accomplish every other goal Jimbo Fisher and the staff set out for them. FSU won it's first ACC title since 2005 and dismantled Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl.
Now that the book is closed for the 2012/2013 college football season, who can we say had the better year?
