With all this discussion about the usage of the drug Adderall in pro football to gain a competitive advantage, we have come to learn that, that particular drug is not the only prescription drug guys are using to get an "edge". In an interview with Brad Biggs from the Chicago Tribune, Brandon Marshall chimed in with these comments...
“I don’t know too much about Adderall,” Marshall said. “I know guys, it is such a competitive league, guys try anything just to get that edge. I’m fortunate enough to be blessed with size and some smarts to give me my edge. But some guys, they’ll do whatever they can to get an edge. I’ve heard of some crazy stories. I’ve heard (of) guys using like Viagra, seriously. Because the blood is supposedly thin, some crazy stuff. So, you know, it’s kind of scary with some of these chemicals that are in some of these things so you have to be careful.”
Did I read that right? Did he say players using Viagra during NFL games? I mean, if they were to use it on their own time, that's their business, but to use it while we're all sitting on the couch or at the bar watching them, now that's just strange. Gives new meaning to playing "stiff".
The guys this morning on Open Mike are taking this topic to the next level. Given that we are guy talk radio, its only appropriate to discuss the elephant in the room...does taking Viagra (for bedroom use, and not a football game) make you feel like less of a man?
