Well that did not go as expected. After just one season, the Jaguars decided that the Nick Foles experiment was a fail and shipped off the former Super Bowl MVP to the Chicago Bears for a fourth-round pick.
The Bears also reworked the contract of Foles, who still has three years remaining on his deal.
In his only season with the Jags, Foles went 0-4. He completed a shade under 66% of his passes while throwing 736 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
The narrative that Nick Foles can't play a full season continues as he broke his collarbone in the season opener on a touchdown pass against the Chiefs.
In Chicago, he will have a chance to compete for the starting job against Mitchell Trubisky while the Jaguars will trot out Gardner Minshew as their starter. The Jaguars appear to be in full tank mode in attempts to try and land the No. 1 pick in next year's draft for Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
