Podcast: Good news about Ryan Newman from @TheAlexHayden

Monday night on the final lap of the Daytona 500, Ryan Newman was involved in a wreck that saw his car get flipped upside down and then crashed into at 190 mph on the driver's side before skidding across the finish line in flames and gas pouring out.

Safety crews worked fast to put out the fire and get Newman out of the car, putting up black screens to block the views of spectators as he was loaded in the ambulance and then taken to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona.

Tuesday provided some good news as Alex Hayden from the Motor Racing Network told In The Zone that Ryan Newman was awake and talking with family and doctors.

Roush Fenway Racing sent out a statement Via Twitter to give the update.

Alex went on to discuss the Daytona 500 and even compared the race winner, Denny Hamlin, to Dan Marino. You can catch the entire podcast below.
